CHILI POT Next Wednesday, 9/30




This is an opportunity to informally come together as a community. The idea was originally called a bean pot as beans are a staple food of many underrepresented communities. Join us,
WEDNESDAY, 9/16 from 12:30pm-1:30pm in UMC 227 (Senior Dedication Lounge) for our Chili Pot! Free massages will be provided by Community health as well!

First Chili Pot of the Semester!

Last USGC Meeting of the Year!


Led by UCSU Diversity Director Alexis Smith and SORCE Inner Campus Liaison Nicole Moore

USGC's (Underrepresented Student Group Council) main purpose is to unite the leadership of the diverse student groups and organizations that make up the University Community. Join us for our last movie and discussion of the year, "Recycled Life," the touching story of thousands of adults, children, and generations of families who have been living and working in the largest and most toxic landfill in Central America. Free food will be provided.

SORCE 10 Year Anniversary Party



SORCE requests the honor of your presence as we celebrate and reflect back on our past and prepare for the future. In 1999, the idea of SORCE was born and has evolved over the years to where we are today. Special thanks to all of those who have helped to make this happen!

Topics may include making a short animated movie using Adobe Flash or using Photoshop to make a flyer. No previous experience is required and computers will be provided. Everyone is welcome to come. Join us, WEDNESDAY, April 15th at 5pm
in ATLAS 104 (Main Level.)
 Reservations are not required but can

SORCE Presents "Jacksonshop"-A FREE Computer Workshop


The Digital Divide continues to affect many underrepresented communities. In an effort to close the gap, SORCE Webmaster Jerome Jackson will begin a FREE basic computer skills workshop series. Learn how to make a short animated movie using Adobe Flash, or make a simple flyer using Adobe Fireworks. No previous experience is required. Everyone is welcome to join. Join us, WEDNESDAY, March 11th at 5:15pm in ATLAS 1B29 (Basement Level). Free food will be provided.

Let's talk about some sex baby!


...Safer Sex That Is!!!! Join SORCE for our 3rd mentor session of the Spring 2009 semester. The topic will be "Lets Talk About Sex Baby! (Safer Sex that is)." Andrea Erickson, a volunteer with Community Health and Boulder County Public Health in the STI/HIV Outreach Program, will be doing a safer sex demonstration. Everyone is invited to join. Free free food and drinks will be provided!!!

To aid in our retention efforts SORCE's new mentor program is here to serve the new underrepresented population here are CU, this includes freshmen, sophomore and transfer students. This program is designed to give new students the opportunity to learn about the vast amount of resources that we have here on campus and to get acquainted with students who are very familiar with the campus and are willing to share their experiences.
