Upcoming February Tours

One of SORCE's main aims is to ensure that college is accessible for all students. As such, SORCE has brought over 8,000 youth from underrepresented communities to the CU Boulder Campus for tours and college panels in order to ensure that kids understand and believe that college is an attainable goal for them.

Here is a list of upcoming tour and panel discussion we will be holding for February. If you are interested in volunteering for any portion of the day, please email our On Campus Outreach Coordinator Mario Flores at floresmr@gmail.com or call 303-492-1371:

• Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts
• Friday Feb. 20th
• 30 juniors
• 945am - 11am: tour
• 11am - 1130am: lunch
• 1130am - 1230pm: college panel
• 1230pm - 1pm: mini-lecture

• AMS-Ecuador Delegation Visit (Volunteers with some Spanish skills would be very helpful)
• Wednesday Feb. 25th
• 15 international and US middle school students
• 1100am - 1215pm: tour
• 1220pm - 1250pm: lunch
• 1250pm - 130pm: college panel

Free Community Chili Pot

Every other Wednesday, SORCE hosts a free chili pot. This is an opportunity to informally come together as a community.The idea was originally called a bean pot as beans are a staple food of many underrepresented communities. Join us, WEDNESDAY, 2/25 from 11:30am-12:30pm in UMC 227 (Senior Dedication Lounge) as we celebrate Black History Month with special activities!

Getting behind on homework? Need to finish that term paper? Then come to the SORCE Study Slam session to get it done! By attending, you will also be eligible for a door prize drawing on April 22nd. You do not have to be present to win. Join us Wednesday, February 18th anytime between 12-6pm in UMC 227 (Senior Dedication Lounge). You can also attend on 3/4, 3/18, 4/8, 4/22.
