SORCE Chili Pot 11/7

Every other Wednesday, SORCE hosts a free chili pot. This is an opportunity to informally come together. The idea for a chili pot came from DeLaris Carpenter a former African American CU counselor (from CMA). This idea is originally called a bean pot as beans are a staple food of many underrepresented communities. Join us, this WEDNESDAY, 11/7 from 12-2pm in UMC 227 (Senior Dedication Lounge).

LET'S FIND OUT! On October 30th, SORCE is hosting a Halloween event for Student Parents and their children and we would like your help! All you have to do is decorate your office and pass out candy for some trick or treating from 4-5 pm. A gathering party will occur from 5-6 pm. Supplies will be provided.

SORCE Logo Contest!

What would you say if we said we would give you a free ipod nano? That’s right a new 3rd generation ipod nano! What’s the catch? All you have to do is enter the SORCE Logo Contest and win! Submit your design that incorporates SORCE’s mission of outreach and retention and the goal of achieving social justice. Our Vision and Mission

The Student Outreach Retention Center for Equity is dedicated to providing strategies prospective college students so that they develop an action plan that results in a degree in higher education. The constituency we serve includes the following historically underrepresented communities: Students of Color, First Generation Students, LGBTQQTI, Low Income Students, Non Traditional Students, Student Parents and Student with Disabilities. Given that education provides upward social and economic mobility, it is SORCE's goal to help ensure that our constituency is able to avail themselves of this opportunity.
